Enter into the magical world of natural and botanical dyeing in this Wildflower Hammering Workshop. Learn the basics of extracting pigment from fresh foliage by arranging and hammering it into paper, fabric and other materials. Each student will design and create their own tote bag using fresh California wildflowers echoing the natural beauty all around us. A guide to flower hammering will be included in the class for further experimenting at home! Students may bring extra materials to experiment with any extra foliage, thick watercolor paper and natural fabrics are great for this project.
** This workshop can get very loud, so please bring earplugs if you might be sensitive to loud hammering!
