The magical process of cyanotype, or sun printing, is a wonderful way to create images using the shape and texture of everything from seaweed to digital photographs. Learn to design original compositions using a variety of mixed media, including photograph negatives, textiles, and organic material, and develop them into unique pieces of textile art using the sun's rays! Learn how to mix light sensitive chemicals and apply them to linen and get inspired by the deep blue hues. We will discuss various ways of using the shape, form, and properties of selected objects and materials to compose images, and cover the simple steps required to develop your piece in the sun.
