Sun Printing with Botanical Imagery

Capture the seasonal beauty of local botanicals through the magical process of cyanotype, or sun printing. Learn to design ethereal organic compositions using delicate flowers and textured leaves that you select, then use the sun's rays to develop them into impactful pieces of art. Learn to mix light sensitive chemicals and apply them to two pieces of linen fabric. Using botanical material selected from your own environment, we will explore various ways of using their shape, form, and properties to compose images, and then develop them in the sun. Get inspired by the deep blue hues and create work that is unique to your own space and to the season.
