Natural Dye & Wildflower Stamping on Stationery

Continuing on our exploration of natural dyeing, we're offering this workshop focused on applying natural dyes to paper with embellishment from local wildflowers. Join us to try your hand at painting, dipping, and washing papers in a variety of natural dyes made from beet, onion skin, indigo, and more to create a unique stationery set. Learn to manipulate colors and create patterns using natural mordanting agents and techniques including overdye, citric acid application, gradient, and more. Embellish your dyed papers by ecostamping with local wildflowers and printing shapes or monograms with an array of provided blocks and stamps. Each student will be provided a set of twelve 5x7" papers to work with, and may also bring any additional materials of their own to dye or stamp if time allows.
