shibori for family & home / natural dye workshops & events

Welcome to Yuzu & Rose. Based in Santa Cruz, California and rooted in the traditions of natural dyeing and usage of both modern and ancient techniques, we strive to bring colors from nature to the every day lives of those in our community. Yuzu & Rose focuses on offering a variety of natural dye workshops sharing techniques from traditional Japanese Shibori and indigo dyeing, creating and using natural dyes, and more. Workshops are scheduled throughout the Bay Area and we are available for private events. We also offer a range of retail items for families and homes that will bring joy in their thoughtful design as well as peace of mind in the gentleness of materials used.
